When the sun goes down … where to start the night

When we party in Barcelona we like to go all out and that means we want to begin early.

One of the best places to start the night and enjoy a good time while seeing the sun going down is definitely the Bunkers del Carmel. Locals and visitors alike go to this spot, bring their own drinks and music, relax with their friends and meet new people while enjoying one of the best views of Barcelona. The bunkers are located at the top of Turó de la Rovira and the best way to get there is taking bus V17 which will leave you at about a 7 minute walk away from the spot.

If you are staying near the old city and don’t want to move far away to enjoy good views of Barcelona, another great option to enjoy an open-air drink and panoramic views are to head to Montjuic. This mountain stands at about 173 meters high and very near the historic city of Barcelona, giving you amazing views of the old city and the port.

If you are visiting Barcelona during spring or summer and want a day party on Sunday, then you must head to the party Barcelona Brunch in the Park & in the City. An open-air electronic music party happening in Montjuic. The actual spot depends on the season so make sure you check out this link before.

Looking to spend a romantic night in Barcelona?

Barcelona has romantic plans for all tastes.

By far one of our favorite romantic plans in Barcelona is the Magic Nights at Casa Batlló. Combine the magic and art of Antoni Gaudi visiting the famous Casa Batlló, starting at 20hrs, and end the experience with an open air concert in its beautiful terrace overlooking the city. Check their availability and reserve your tickets clicking here

Another of the night activities in Barcelona to take into account is the First “10D Experience”, worldwide, the new immersive product that reinvents the museum visit.

Pioneer and unique in the world, this is Casa Batlló ‘10D Experience’, a visit which offers a journey into the mind of Gaudí that appeals to the 5 senses, with the most advanced technology.

Do you prefer to check out the street nightlife in Barcelona?

Thankfully we have beautiful Mediterranean weather in the city, so us locals mostly prefer enjoying the night out in the streets, grabbing a beer from one of the street sellers (although is not really “legal”), play the guitar and meet our friends for a good time.

Our favorite street nightlife spots to hang out in Barcelona are:

  • Plaza del Sol in the neighborhood of Gracia
  • Plaza Real in the Gothic neighborhood
  • Plaza de la Merced in the Gothic neighborhood
  • Plaza del MACBA in the Raval neighborhood
  • Port Vell
  • Marbella beach and its skatepark

Looking for a hilarious and fun place to show off your hidden singing skills?

You can always go to bars with karaoke and let your voice and artistic skills lose.

Another new and “trendy” option for the nightlife in Barcelona is drinking a sophisticated cocktail at the terrace of the W Hotel, also known as the “sailship” hotel in Barceloneta.

hotel vela

At this emblematic hotel, you can not only enjoy the incredible views of the sea and the city but also enjoy the great discotheque it has. The discotheque is known as Eclipse, and guests staying with Sweet BCN can enter for free thanks to our guest list.

Barcelona could not lack, being such an open-minded and cosmopolitan city, a neighborhood with a concentration of gay bars: the left Eixample. Where you can even find cross-dressing shows with over 20 years in the scene, bear bars, and a very curious bar: La Chapelle.

Do you imagine going into a bar transformed into a chapel?

So you can have it all at hand here we leave you with a guide of bars by district and category: http://barcelona.salir.com/denoche

Do you feel like dancing? Let’s see the options that Barcelona has in store for you

When we ask ourselves where to go out in Barcelona, it is always in our plans to go to a club and here we also have many possibilities.

There are mythical discos in the Catalan capital where you have different options for each time of the year, being summer naturally the king.

Amongst them are Sala Apolo, Razzmatazz, Sidecar, La Terrazza, Jamboree, Sutton or the classic Metro Disco (for the LGBT public) and many other options.

If you prefer to go to a good electro party, you cannot miss going to Opium, where the best DJ´s play in a very exclusive atmosphere.

A special recommendation: once a month it’s celebrated near Barcelona a party that always gives lots to talk about for its colorful atmosphere and excellent proposal for electronic music: El Row at Viladecans.

And if you want to go out for free in the best clubs in Barcelona, it’s easy, join the Isaac list and you will be able to enjoy many advantages to spend an incredible night.

But … What if I want more than just bars or clubs?

If you like to combine nightlife with art, there is something that you will surely like.

Every year, in the month of May, it is celebrated in Barcelona the Night of the Museums, when more than 80 places open their doors for free entry to enjoy expositions, guided visits, concerts, and many other shows.

Barcelona is also a city that is characterized, as well, by its security during day and night.

A simple night stroll around the city with your couple or friends is an excellent plan for the Barcelona night.

During the whole summer, you can also enjoy a ride on the touristic bus by night, a very interesting proposal by the Barcelona City Council.

When you come to Barcelona and stay at any of our Sweet Accommodations make sure to ask our guest experience staff for the recommendations of the night since we always have between 5-10 clubs each night where you can enter for free with our exclusive guest list.

If you want to reserve your accommodation with us write us an email at info@sweetbcnapartments.com and we will send you our best available offers.
